The single family home market in Okotoks continued to improve in April with a modest increase in the number of listings coming to the market (93 in April as opposed to 89 in March) however there was a significant increase in the number of properties sold (41 in April compared to 28 in March). Also there was a significant increase in the average sold price (up from $403,074 in March to $463,777 in April) as some of the higher end homes are now selling. The condominium market on the other hand continues to labour with similar figures in April as there were in March. Now that Calgary is seeing more activity in the housing market, and in some cases competing offers, we can expect to see the Okotoks housing market pick up further as people start to look outside Calgary for affordability and accessibility.
Congratulations to Adam Gregory on the 4th anniversary of his home purchase.
