Chestermere is a town about 10 minutes east of Calgary and located just off Highway 1 (the TransCanada Highway).  Most of Chestermere is a relatively new development and the town itself was only incorporated as recently as 1993.  With a population approaching 12,000 people it is the smallest of the 'satellite towns' within close proximity of Calgary.  Having said this, in the last few years it has experienced rapid growth.

Its primary focus is the large lake incorporating some 750 acres of water playground ideal for waterskiing, sailing, boating, fishing etc.  In addition, there is an 18 hole golf course.  As a result Chestermere has an eviable lifestyle, with its proximity to Calgary for work, its outdoor leisure facilities, and fantastic views of prairie sunrise and Rocky Mountain sunsets.
