5. Drive-by other homes for–sale in your neighborhood and compare their price to your price. This is more important to compare sold homes but it is helpful to know if your home is priced higher than those in your marketplace.
6. Look to see if any walls, trim or doors need painting.
7. Consider having the carpets cleaned by a professional company.
8. Prepare a home marketing book with detailed information about your property.
9. Have your Realtor provide you with a detailed marketing plan for selling your property.
10. Remember that in some slower markets, properties may take time to sell. If you’re still in a hurry you may have to adjust your price to stand out from the competition.
